Sweet! Seneca is less of a roller course since it went to 27 holes, but lots of the old-time homeys still love rollers lol. The course is actually pretty well balanced, but all of the creek holes favor leftys, so . . .

If you want a Seneca guide, shoot me a PM!

Pinto Bean, Li’l Magic (for scale purposes) and some bear scat:

Bean made sure to pee on it, telling that bear (I’m paraphrasing here) “I missed you this time but If I see you round these parts, It’s on!”

I played Rockland reds today with what I’ve deemed my “mirror bag.” These are the (or soon will be) the one to one replacements for my regular bag. A lot of them are new, or nearly new. I didn’t throw all the mirror discs but here are the ones I did:

Putters:
175 Q Omega blue with sparkles. 2 for circle putting and overstable drives and upshots
150 Sirius Omega for drives, approaching, long runs and extra glide vs the quantum’s. This is “Li’l Magic II.”

Mids:
178 Star Mako3
175 FrontlineX Mortar

Fairway:
175 Star TL3
168 Champ Thunderbird
171 Gstar Sidewinder (the roller)

Distance:
160 Star Destroyer (PMcB)

I ended up at 56. Even (pro) par. I also landed on a Twinkie with my drive on hole 4. Upshot to six inches for an easy 3.

The takeaway:
I need to backup my flippy reliable fairway. The FrontlineX Mortar is more overstable than the seasoned recon I regularly bag. The Star Destroyer is a nice “overstable wraith.” I like the quicker flip of a roadrunner vs a sidewinder for woods rollers. Looks like they’re gonna be my next purchases. I have 2. I’ll probably end up with 5.

My most lost disc is a beat in hyzerflip fairway. I've lost 2 this year and I have to take a backup and chuck it into a woodpile to get it to where it's lost brethren was

I had a newish Champ Leopard for that slot til I left it on 12 today. I didn’t play many holes but I left the Leo in the fairway after a smashed drive and nearly made bid from short and right of the pit of despair. That’s when I got called in for work. Ugh.

The blisters on my fingers from work Friday night were a hindrance to throwing today:

I cook. Sauté pan handles get hot when all your burners are rocking, so it seems.

Played the 25th annual hangover classic at Sherando today. I shot 58 for the 20 hole layout. Four stokes better and I would have been playing off for the win. It was breezy out today so scores were higher than usual.

Discs I threw:
The 3 Omegas
Mortar
Champ Roc3
Star and Gstar TL3
Champ Thunderbird
Star and Gstar wraith
Sirius Scorpius

Now that it’s 2020 I can start getting hyped for the VTI and the WVTI! They’re the 2 best tournaments of the year!
