Default So I griplocked the longest drive I’ve ever thrown

General info:

I just turned 40 and have been playing for 22 years. People consider me a “big arm.” I’m a lefty.

Yes, I can throw over 400’.

Yesterday I griplocked a drive that flew around 600’! I was astounded. I was really trying to rip one and missed my line by 30 degrees. Regardless the disc went farther than any one I have thrown in the past. I laughed and laughed and laughed!

Sidewinder22, I know you will understand.

I was on hole 14 at the Whipping Post, “Tony’s Valley.” I ripped my 175 Star Wraith. It hyzer-flips around the house and flexes out to skip about 40’ out from 18’s basket in the pond!

Can anyone help me harness this new found power?

That downhill tee always messes with my sequence because of the extra gravity/falling further into the plant so my swing often starts before I plant and also griplock somewhat.

Now from a level tee, I'd bet you are opening your stance into the plant and/or swinging a tad early before your weight shifts forward, and/or hugging yourself somewhat.

^To the rescue!

Yes, I developed a timing problem over the last month. This problem unleashed 150’ more distance than I thought I was capable of.

How do I turn this massive crushing poor timing into massive crushing good timing?

I understand the basics.
