Course Condition Updates

Was curious how many readers update the course conditions on DGCR after they play a round.

Some info I find useful is: is the turf cut, are there heavy leafs on the ground, is the rough thick, and blind basket locations. Anyway this is just some of the info I find very useful. I try my best to update course conditions after every round.

Also a shout out to those who update course conditions I know it has helped me many times.

Not after every round but after major stuff like holes unplayable due to weather or baskets missing, etc.

I've never reviewed a course and have never updated conditions.

On the flipside, I rarely read reviews and never look at course conditions.

Yep. Even if the conditions haven't changed it's useful to do the update so the date gets current.

I don't do it but very much appreciate those that do.....particularly helpful for those of us who travel extensively.

I got into the habit of updating course conditions practically every round (exception: played back to back days & nothing changed.
Some of the things I mention are: hazards to be aware of (ground hornets, slippery slopes, leaning trees, slick tees [we've got some 35 year old asphalt tees around here], & when they change basket positions ( & I try to make sure it's current under Hole Info). Just figure that if I'd want to know it before driving an hour to a course, it's worth mentioning.
ps: I never list a course as 'unplayable' unless the baskets are pulled, or the owner has closed it. There's always someone who might be willing to play it in a foot or two of floodwater!

Yes, but usually only local courses.

I will almost always update the course conditions unless they have been recently updated and there is nothing new to report.
