Public service announcement:
Don't plan on playing Toboggan solo, unless you're OK losing discs. The rough is thick and nasty, and it helps having extra eyes looking discs down, as well as searching. Course doesn't have a ton of poison ivy, but there are definitely a few hot pockets of ivy off the fairways. I recommend long pants because there's a good chance you'll spend at least some time searching in thorny rough.

Park entry fee is $10/car/day.

Public play will be open 10/1/2021 – 10/31/2021
Monday – Thursday: 2 p.m. – Sunset
Friday: Noon – Sunset
Saturday & Sunday: 8 a.m. – Sunset

An annual bag tag, which gives unlimited play at all Metropark courses, or a daily wristband is required to play.

Black Locust Course Daily Wristband – $3
Toboggan Course Daily Wristband – $5
Annual Bag Tag – $60
Senior/Junior (senior 62+, junior 20 & under) Annual Bag Tag – $40
Children age 6 and under are free.

Note that park entry and DG are two separate fees.
If you plan on spending 4+ days in the area, it would pay to purchase an annual park entry pass for $40, which will get you into Hudson Mills, too.

Nearby Holden's has great made to order sandwiches, hot food, cold beverages/beer, and decent assortment of plastic.

So, bring some friends, and come play! It really is a special course.

I will add...the grass has been cut and the course looked in terrific shape. I think it was less of a beast without the sweltering part. No bugs to speak of. There were a handful+ of picnic tables out at tee pads. Just a terrific morning and fabulous course....the company today was a ray of sunshine, as well. Make the time....ROADTRIP!!!

Dang it! I would have loved to get a Toboggan round in, but I won't be able to swing it.
I did play Maple Hill on Thursday and I will be playing Flip on Monday so life isn't all bad.

Had to post this. This just popped in my Disc Golf Scene notifications on a course that I follow.

Mind your P’s & Q’s if you go to this course. Total Michigan Militia stomping ground. I had people following me and taking pictures of me all day all over northern Michigan after I left this place. Sketchy people hiding in bushes all along the course. Not your typical Disc crowd and definitely DO NOT bring any of Michigan’s finest MMJ with you. This place is scary and I would highly, no pun intended, not recommend!!

Wild Haven is a fantastic 36 hole private course, with a fantastic owner. If not so laughable, I would have taken EVEN MORE offense than I did. Social media at it's best, lol.

Woah! I just reached out to Wildman, gonna see what on Earth that could be about. I know he keeps trail cams up and will not tolerate people trying to play without paying. I'm guessing somebody found this out. It ain't cheap to mow all those hilly acres, and of course you get people carrying expensive energy drinks who won't drop a dime in the tube...
