Default Hellbounds 2017 in the bag

Well its that time again. 2016 Came to an end with some biggest changes for me. 1st- bag stayed without big time changes. 2nd- was able to drop the number of molds to a more controllable number. 3rd- First pdga win. 4th- rating jump.

This year im going to look harder at my mids a fairways. I feel my wraith cycle I have going covers all my distance drivers/control driver area without any real problem. Only way that might change is as I work on cleaning up the backhand and distances change.

Mids have narrowed down to 4 discs- KC pro roc, Champ roc3, star roc3, and my old glow gator. I don't think its a bad mix. Would love to go down one less but would live with this setup.

Farways- Gstar teebird, champ teebird, MF teebird. The cmap teebird may be replaced with a star once I get the Gstar into a nice hyzer flip.

So here is my bag and all that fun stuff

Years playing- 10+
LHBH-LHFH
no injuries
Using this as a good tracker on how my progress is going for the year.

Putters
P1X- max weight first run. Go to ani upshots straight putts. (looking to replace with a yeti)
Pro Rhino- max weight- When I need a little more stability
XT Nova- 170- Great upshot disc when I need to stick a landing
Star Merage- max weight- Playing with this disc. Use for long ani backhands.

Mids- (Max weight on all)
KCpro Rock
Star roc3
Champ roc3
Gator

Fairways- (all in 167 range unless noted)
Glow Firebird- max weight
Gstar teebird
Champ teebird
MF teebird

Control and distance drivers- (all are 165-167 in weight)
Pro wraith- hyzerflip great glide
Eco star wraith- flips more then my pro more for finishing left of center
Eco star wraith- fresh backup when I need stability
Star wraith- Hyzer disc straight flying with a nice finish
Star Destroyer- big skips and heavy head winds. One im not too worried about loosing

**** in the bag depending on courses*****
Extra ecostar and star destroyers for windy and extra water carries. all have been thrown before so its nothing new to me.

Thanks. I started using the itb last year as a way to track what I was using and progress. Hope I continue it thru the year this year. Hoping I get it all dialed in for the spring in the next couple of weeks.

Next weekend is singles tournement at the IDGC so will be playing ed long and Warner shorts. A ecostar destroyer will be making it back in the bag along with maybe a gstar wraith. Rain is expected over the weekend so a little adjustment can be expected.

IDGC Ice bowl was last weekend. Was to be two rounds, one on Warner shorts and one round on Ed long pads. Chance of a thunderstorm holding us up on the second round held us up from playing two rounds. Warner shorts were tuff to say the least. Couple of the tee pads just didn't make the hole any easier then playing the long. +2 for the round with the winner shooting a -3. So I wasn't too mad as I had a string of boggies I couldn't get rid of. Bag felt great. Dealing with the rain is something that I have grown to love. I don't steer away from wet rounds on most weekends. Felt like I had a hands up compaired to 90% of the field. Tied for sixth out of 21 (rating wise I was on the low end of the field)

**** in the bag for this event.*****
Ecostar destroyer and a gstar wraith. Will most likely stay in the bag for the next tournament the following weekend.

This will be the first back to back tournaments of the season with next weekend being at South East in Columbia Sc. I haven't gotten the chance to play the course and might just get Friday off again to get to walk and play the course some. If I don't I will already be in the area Friday night to save the long drive come Saturday morning. From what I can tell it should just be a long course that fair and balanced but we will see.

Goal this year is to hit 900 rating golf and is a stretch for a while as I try to drop a few bad rounds. We will have to wait and see.

With work slowing down I am getting a chance to play a couple extra days a week. Friday started playing Grand Central Station with a friend of mine with the hopes of working on distance backhands and new lines to hopefully open up some extra scoring opportunities for myself as the year goes on.

Saturday brought me to a new course for a single day c-tier about 2 hours from the house. I didn't play all that well. High winds in the longer holes along with being a big time righthanded course found my arm sore by the end of the day. I will admit that I played a little too aggressive and for doing that I finished very poor and not happy with my performace. Most of the holes that I forehanded I should have taken some off but was reaching just a little hard for the birdie instead of taking the par. In the end I learned something.

Couple of Casulties for one hole this weekend. Ecostar destroyer is in the water and my go to wraith was never found after a teeshot. So now its back to the drawing board/ordering a new set to see if I can find a good replacement.

On order and will be checking out this weekend. (Ordered for the coming summer season at same time)

2- star bottom stamp destroyers. Starting to see backhand use on some hyzershots the wraith fly too straight for
2- star bottom stamp wraiths- current star in the bag is a "extra stable with min glide"
2- pro wraiths- I like it to pop up quick and ride straight current one needs extra hyzer
Bag as used
Putters
(r1-2)P1X- max weight first run.
(r1-2)Pro Rhino- max weight- lots of hyzer shots this weekend
XT Nova- 170- Great upshot disc when I need to stick a landing
Star Merage- max weight-

Mids- (Max weight on all)
(r2)KCpro Roc
(r1-2)Star roc3
(r1-2)Champ roc3
(r1-2)Gator

Fairways- (all in 167 range unless noted)
Glow Firebird- max weight
(r1-2)Gstar teebird
Champ teebird
(R1-2)MF teebird

Control and distance drivers- (all are 165-167 in weight)
Pro wraith- hyzerflip great glide replacing
(R1-2)Eco star wraith- flips more then my pro more for finishing left of center
(r1-2)Star wraith- Hyzer disc straight flying with a nice finish lost
(r1-2) Star wraith- beefy in bag due to loss of go too
(r1-2)Star Destroyer- big skips and heavy head winds. One im not too worried about loosing
Gstar Roadrunner

Body felt great in the legs and was well hydrated. Arm hurt from playing 90% forhand drives. Working hard to get it closer to 50/50. (when Im playing closer to that number rounds score 100% better)

Season is starting. March starts the windup of pdga events for the year. First weekend in march then the last. (might sneak a third tourney in at some point) . Bag is set with a couple extra control drivers as I tweak in a few new ones. One disc that might make a comeback is the L3 as a late turn fairway driver. Not sure yet. Mulling it over. Saturday is a two round doubles for charity so I hope to finalize the bag one last time.
Putters
P1X- max weight first run. (getting two more from a friend Friday might try them out)
Pro Rhino- max weight-hyzer shots. 200 and in its my go to.
XT Nova- 170- Great upshot disc when I need to stick a landing
KC pro Aviar. extra glide compared to the P1x more a straight drive putter or when I want a little less stability then the rhino
Star Merage- max weight

Mids- (Max weight on all)
KCpro Roc- love this disc for backhands and forhand turnovers
Star roc3- more and more reaching for this disc over the gator on most upshots.
Champ roc3- backhand stable straight shots. Forhand with a little turn.
Gator

Fairways- (all in 167 range unless noted)
Glow Firebird- max weight
Gstar teebird
Champ teebird
MF teebird (might drop to simplify)

Control and distance drivers- (all are 165-167 in weight)
Pro wraith- hyzerflip great glide finishes left backhand
Pro wraith- white new
Eco star wraith- flips more then my pro more for finishing left of center
Star wraith-bttm stamp dayglow. working this one to become my next go too.
Star wraith- beefy more a windy day disc
Star wraith- gifted bttm stamp. touch less stable then the other bttm stamp.
Star Destroyer- big skips and heavy head winds. One im not too worried about loosing
Gstar Roadrunner

Bags a little more filled then I would normally like. If I want to add a water disc I have to move from the grip to the octothorp. Shaking it down a disc or two.
