I feel like if they hadn't hyped up the coverage to use disc golf diehards, it might be more well received. Are we the target audience though? Or is Dodge still trying to draw in casual viewers?

Man, these guys are rubbish at following a disc with a camera.

I've only been watching the post round stuff, no live, but there are definitely me hiccups. I'm honestly just glad to have coverage, but the commentary is delayed or ahead, the amount of time they zoom on the back of throwers head is odd and they outright miss shots. I'm still watching and enjoying, but it's not up to the standards of jomez or ccdg.

Also, ulibarri absolutely, risley no thank you.

People either love Risley or think he's the worst commentator ever. At least he isn't forgettable.

I’m not watching because I’ve bought the apologies for Steve’s decision as “a business decision” and think poorly operating businesses should fail. You know, nothing personal. Just business.

This caption generator video might have more views and shares than yesterday's DGPT coverage.

I know Mr. Mcfly did a lot of the zooming in on putters that looked nice, but really threw off my depth perception. (Someone please remind me of the term for this.)

These camera operators are doing it a lot, too, or maybe even more so or more exaggerated. I don’t like it and I think it threw off the announcers, too. I think it was Paul who mentioned the camera angle and said a putt was about 25’. Well, Stoole (sp?) took five normal steps to the basket from his lie to retrieve his disc. That’s probably 15’ or less. Just a thought.

And the audio lag is bad. When the putt has chained out and the crowd has reacted, it’s just strange to hear the announcer’s reactions a few seconds later.

Overall, I agree with others. The coverage quality of round two was definitely better. If they can improve like this twice more, then round four should be pretty solid.

If they're improving on the fly, that's good. And wouldn't be unexpected, this being their first run.

I'd hope and expect that they'd really improve between events, when they have time to review what they've done and learn from mistakes. Particularly on glitches (audio sync, bedsheets, etc.).

Isn't this the last of the operating pro tours? Be careful what you wish for. I guess you don't remember what video coverage was like when it was just the NT.

Dodge is hardly the first person to over-promise and under-deliver, and he won't be the last. Give him a couple events to figure it out. While the coverage has hardly been on par with post production coverage the difference between day one and yesterday was pretty big. He's obviously making strides to improve ASAP.

There seem to be a lot of people in here who have never made a single mistake in their lives. You can all say you're providing valuable feedback, but you're just bitching on a forum. If you want to actually provide feedback, give it where it'll have value, on the DGPT website.
