Just pointing out that y'all are arguing with a flat-earther.

Good luck.

Two events tested them in comparison to regular baskets. SCORING SPREAD REDUCED.

I don't think the small basket proponents are on here clamoring for a reduction in reward for better play, correct?
That's not enough data not to mention the goal isn't to increase scoring spread, not to fix it by itself. Was it windy one day and not the other? Bad holes where everyone pars, it probably won't change much, could be made worse depending on the hole, you just made a hard birdie hole even harder to birdie for instance! Now instead of 5 birdies you get 3. You just decreased the scoring spread on the hole.

You have to dig deeper into the results. We are only talking about a 15% reduction in putts made at 33 feet according to Marksman Winter leagues (Veteran vs Marksman.)

The ultimate goal in my opinion is to simply make putting relevant. Create some interest in circle 1 putts. Are there tons of other potential benefits as well? Sure. Like make easy birdie holes harder. Make upshots and park jobs matter. Make putting 25 feet by matter. Players are not punished for poor upshots or putts like they should.

I believe the plural in the last sentence may be in error.

Who was in this putting league? If it wasn't Eagle, Paul, Wysocki, Heimburg, etc than those stats you made up don't mean dick. No way a slightly smaller basket causes those guys to miss 15 more putts per 100 taken from 25 feet in perfect conditions indoors.
