You and 5 other people don't think so but the vast majority of everyone else does. The DGPT does, most pro's when asked do.

If it wasn't a problem then they wouldn't be raising baskets. We wouldn't be seeing 18 under par rounds. DGPT wouldn't write up a summary about the issue.

TD's wouldn't place that raised basket 3 feet from OB. Pro's wouldn't hit every putt in a 3-4 round tournament either.

It's not the cause of 18 under rounds or baskets near OB and no pros hit every putt in a 3-4 round tournament with any sort of regularity unless you recategorize putts as only being C1X, and I've explained to you why that's a silly statistic to rely on in isolation (especially over only one tournament).
The vast majority of people don't care and have never even thought about the question.

It might be the reason why we use raised baskets. We have raised baskets. Problem solved.

How about we make putting more difficult from the other end?

Smaller putters (minis). Putt from your knees. Back facing the basket.

You'll get your desired result (more difficult putting) without spending billions of dollars.

Your problem is not that the basket is too small, it's that putting is too easy.
