Sounds like your understable putter is the X Putt'r (unless it's an Innova X-Out). You might like some of the slower, lid-style putters. Sonic, Polecat, Rattler. They should turn well for you.

The Pure is stable, along the same lines as the Anode.

If you just want it for putting, the magic is a really good option. The Summit is a better choice for understable driving or approach.

He's already mentioned that he has an understable putter with a big X stamped on it that he doesn't like the rim. If it's the Putt'r like I think it is, the Magic has a similar, albeit not as large, rim.

So does the Wizard, which he seems okay with I think he just doesn't like the lid-style rim.

Exactly, the magic suggestion was based on the fact that he's using a Wizard already.

I don't agree at all about the Wizard being close. The Putt'r and Magic are both fairly squared, whereas the Wizard is rounded. I agree about him not being happy with the lid-style rim (despite recommending other lid-style putters to him earlier). I just remember having similar reactions to the Magic and Putt'r's rims.
