Default Catawba Meadows DG- Heaven?

Hello. Newbie, 48 years old and I am just realizing that I do enjoy disc golf as much as possible. Catawba Meadows in Morganton, NC has been so perfect...a few smart players, good weather, good walking and challenging par 3s. I really started thinking twice about disc golf when I was hiking the PCT Pacific Crest Trail and I played seriously with Tom Figueroa at Kennedy Meadows. Interesting courss up there at 6000 feet. So I just moved to Morganton. And I bought a set of discs and have played two parks here in town. Bethel park is a shabby 9 hole course, but good practice and Catawba Meadows. Catawba Meadows has been so pretty...like heaven walking the course today. My Roc3 Champion mid-rangd has really been hitting the basket from outside. My Destroyer is a little heavy for this humid weather and my Aviar wobbles to the basket too much. But wow...my shots from the fairway have been really amazing so far.
Bottom line...I am having fun and looking foward to adding a lighter driver to my bag already.
The Tern might work for me at 150g.
Or another light driver.
The putter?
How do I stop the wobbling? I like to float my putter...
Later....

Catawba Meadows is underrated. It's wide open and can be ripped a new one by bombers but it's still pleasant and has great tees.

Your putter wobbling is probably OAT (Off Axis Torque). You're not getting a clean release and likely not enough spin to stable out the wobbles. Improve your finger spring and/or add some spin. You might want to try a beadless putter as well.

Terns and Destroyers are really fast discs for new players. You'll probably get more out of a stable fairway driver or two, something in the Teebird, Eagle, FD, Leopard, JLS, Stag, Gazelle, Cheetah, Crave, Servo, Clash, Relay, etc realm.

Love the Meadows, been playing since it first opened, helped build the teepads years back. It has come a long way since first opening thanks to the Kids in Parks grant, and Catawba while it's not quite Ashe or one of the Charlotte courses in terms of rating it is nice to have a course with a "ball golf/fairway" aesthetic , also it has good amenities and the park is safe and friendly.
