I'm jealous of the PIAS finds, I hear there's one on the mainland but nothing good in it when my buddy was there.

Got my eclipse r2 glitch.. 146g.. It showed up warped, did a hot defrost on the van window down to the store to get pizza and did a vertical stuffed bag press. Looks like I got it squared out again. I got 5 throws on it. Haha

IME it's lacking a touch of glide and float but it has gained in control and some stability. It's flying like I thought a heavy one would, maybe it's the 5g less gyro. I'll run it against a glitch and the r2 spin.

Kinda feels like r2 is a little slower than neutron.. My relay kind of was. I still think proton is the fastest if you can hold onto it.

Further testing after a hot tub. It's f in miserable out there.

It was in some brush right near the pin.

Ive been throwing the glitch a lot, I will be interested to see how the R2 affects the stability. I'm on a form mission, gotta get it together better. Been playing glitch/envy/rhythm x2 rounds. One flat stock and one circuit. Sometimes just glitches and rhythms or envy and glitches. Point is I can't put it down, it's too fun.
I have a long standing and well know locally opinion on black discs like R2.

I will not help you find your wayward disc in the woods. At all. Ever. (sometimes I'm a jerk)

Thusly I don't buy them for myself. It wouldn't do to have someone call me out for being a hypocrite.

Fair enough.. I sort of feel the same way but I'm no hypocrite.

My R2 spin has obscenely bad silver paint pen onit, everywhere. Not to help others find my disc but me. I do prefer the feel standard neutron. Gawd I luv soft neutron. (Feel over flight).. (Mostly)

And Screw y'all that's my 5 throw review of the R2 glitch. I'm sittin my ass into pajama pants by the fire. I stand by my IME.

felt cute, ordered an eclipse resistor.

been thinking about going back to it and dropping the fireball. the resistor was a bit more workable so I threw it more often. I like the Fireball but I don't throw it very often because it takes a good bit of juice to get any distance.

I can see that. When I had a Fireball, it was a functional FH disc but nearly useless BH where I struggle to generate the same spin. Haven’t thrown an eclipse resistor but really like the plasma motion for that it’s gotta go for a bit and then get lateral hard shot. And rather magically, it seems to work well from both sides, at leas as a utility disc.

I tried the Fireball for a very short time, and went right back to the Resistor. The Eclipse is the most OS Resistor I've thrown and very very gummy. At least mine is gummy. I like it a lot.

I tried to like the fireball... ended up going motion for that spot for the same reasons as mas3006. The absolute lack of aerodynamics and glide did not make the fireball my friend. Great thumber disc though if you have the power.

Oh and I lost my glitch last night at dusk on a short 40' approach... took it with me to lock in the chickens.. 3 minutes to find it 10' behind the basket.

sounds good to me. i ordered the se halloween stamped run.

if I do end up bagging resistors again I have a well seasoned blue neutron I threw for years I'd pair with the fresh eclipse.

Then I have Craves from fresh and beefy to beat to flippy. They feel almost the same in hand so they go well together.

Then I could buy it there and if I liked it and wanted another, I could go there again or buy one from one of the online distributors that I used. But now....I can rarely find the MVP/Axiom disc that I want at my local store and it is very hit or miss online. It's making me begin considering finding another brand to go with. It's almost like early Covid issues again where discs were hard to find.

It's frustrating buying a disc for the first time from an online site, getting it, and finding out that it just doesn't fit in my grip or the plastic isn't right for me and that is IF I can find the disc online.
Which shop? Chumba doesn't carry a ton, Spinners is decent, DD Phoenix has always carried quite a bit, even some L2s. There's another shop here on the east side that's a hidden gem for a lot of hard-to-find stuff, and they always have a full rack of MVP/Axiom/Streamline...
