Default May 1st - Big Day for Brainerd, MN DG

Tuesday May 1st
5:30 is league sign ups at Lum Park in Brainerd, MN
6:00 is park meeting to discuss the approval of hedfan1 designing and implimenting a 9-18 hole course in a small town just south of Brainerd.
7:00 is the city hall meeting for Baxter, MN which boarders Brainerd to the west is deciding whether or not to move forward for public opinions before course construction would begin for a 3 tee pad 9 hole course designed by hedfan1. Each tee pad will be rated for beginner par, intermediate par and pro par. Par 30 for beginners, par 30 for intermediates and par 30 for pros. just over 1000 ft variation from beginner to pro tee boxes!

Wish us luck up here in Central Lakes Area, MN.

By the end of this year, we could potentially have 36 different baskets to shoot at and 7-9 different tee pads to shoot at them from. That gives us, 252-324 different tee boxes to shoot from in a 10 mile radius!

Nice work! One of these days I'll make it out there to play with y'all, more courses will definitely add to the draw, but I guess that means I have to wait until they're done. Keep us updated!

Awesome! I hope it goes through with out a hitch. I love how open to DG these small Minnesota communities seem to be. I mean every town with more than 3 people are looking to install a nine hole in their city park.

Well guys, today I am going to plot out a rough sketch of the course layout, they wont write the check until they have even a rough idea of what it could look like so today I am going to give them a non committed tee and basket layout with no fairways drawn in to show them the area I am looking at and ensure that it overlays with the St. Mathias parks ideas.

If all goes well I think we will have at least one more course in the area before summers end!

Good job you guys! Maybe one of these years we could do a MN battle of North Vs South somewhere since we have so many people playing here now

Have they updated the baskets in Lum Park yet?

Where at in Baxter is the DG course slated to be installed? (In relation to B.I.R.)

I live in Cali now, but love that my home town is really taking off with the sport. It will make it easier to go back and visit now that I can hit some new courses on vacation.

My aunt is installing a basket on her 2 acres right on Round Lake.

I'm excited for new MN courses! Even though the Brainerd area is a bit of a drive for me I'll definitely check out the area's courses next summer...especially with a few to play!
