Stoke and Distance is funny. Seems to me the majority of players wanted a change, at least at Ledgestone. I would guess it's about an 85/25 ratio.

The Spectator split may not be as divided on the issue. The USDGC is one of my favorite events to watch specifically because of stroke and distance. I get off on the melt downs. I guess I'm just a sick SOB. It's not just melt downs, but I enjoy the mental test it put's players through. As a spectator the pressure is in the air and it makes it exciting. Many spectators have the opposite sentiment. If I head to guess I would say it's a 70/30 ratio on the spectator side. 70 being those who oppose and 30 being the sick SOBs like me. Maybe 60/40.

No matter how you cut it I think the "majority" of players and spectators would do away with S&D, so it's good that Nate is listening, even though he falls in the sick SOB category.

The track of land really matters. It's nearly impossible to create scoring separation on greens in disc golf outside of putting baskets on the edge of water and cliffs so designers have to be more creative in the fairway. Artificial OB seems to be a necessity in disc golf for many reasons. I love watching woodsy Charlotte, NC style golf where artificial OB is not necessary, but also enjoy more open USDGC style golf equally.

Glad to see stroke and distance go. It still seems like a goofy course. In general I like to see courses with little to no OB, especially when there is plenty of either trees or elevation (or both) to work with. Maybe taking the ropes away would make the course too easy. Well then find a better course. I can understand bringing out the ropes if you are in a part of the country that only has a lot of flat wide open space and the best option for a course is a ball golf course. USDGC and Ledgestone are two of my least favorite tournaments to watch. I think this year I only watched one video of the first round of Ledgestone and didn’t bother watching the rest.

The Groove Top Buzzz was discontinued in 2007, but fans can still snag one of these while they last.
I've never heard of a groove top buzzz ever... 'till now... so maybe not a Banger GT at all.

so, a Buzzz GT?

Yep, they sold a buzzz GT for a while. It was pretty flippy for a buzzz if I remember right.

In fairness to Ledgestone, it was more a scheduling conflict with the Snow Mountain Challenge as to why he didn't play Ledgestone, and that same conflict exists again this year. He's not signed up for either event yet, but it sure sounded like he was going to keep playing the SMC each year if possible.

Even if Eagle doesn't make it to Ledgestone, MJ and Simon are already signed up so there's that to look forward to.

If it was discontinued eight years ago, then how are they offering it as a fund raiser? Are they breaking out the old mold?
