Default 2017 ledgestone z buzzz

I have a handful of 2017 ledgestone buzzz (USA flag dye) and they seem to fly a bit different than regular z buzzz nothing crazy different but I was just wondering if there is something different about the ledgestone discs

I have not thrown the Ledgestone Buzzz, but in general, all of the dyed Discraft discs fly a bit different. I think it has to do with the clear Z having different cooling properties than the colored Z

I’ve got a 167g flag dyed Z flick that is crazy overstable compared to even a 170g Ti flick. Clear plastic might be more OS perhaps?

I think they mold up more 'true' to the actual casting mold. That would have to be confirmed by someone in the biz...

Never heard of that; I could see it / sounds believable. All flicks are board flat, but this clear dyed one is pretty much puddletopped. More OS than some of my NukeOS’es.

I agree there's something different about the 2017 flag-dye Z Buzzz. Mine (simple size of 1) seemed less high speed stable than my other Buzzzes. No good for forehands (which I throw a lot with ze Buzzz) but flew okay backhand.

But yes. Different. I haven't heard many folks talk about them.

Just making sure it wasn’t just me I bought a bunch cause my local shop was selling them real cheap and who doesn’t love a z buzzz for 9.99

I don’t really throw Discraft besides buzzz and buzzz os. My bag is pretty set but I was tempted to try a thrasher I like how my buddy’s flys. Seems like Discraft has been stepping their game up the last year or two

I just brought a friend disc golfing for the first time and brought a few discs for him to try Z Comet, GL Diamond, D XL, and a 2017 Ledgestone Buzzz. He clicked most with the Buzzz and threw it exclusively after hole 4 or so. I think it worked better for him than a typical Z Buzzz would have.

I think this also explains why they haven't been great sellers. In general, we expect (and prefer) our LE discs to be more overstable, but the 2017 Ledge Buzzz is definitely NOT more overstable. It still fights back at the end (maybe less than a typical Z Buzzz), but it has more high speed turn than most Zs I've thrown. If it's what you're looking for, it's a nice option and a pretty disc. And, of course, they're available decently cheap since nobody cool wants to buy a flippy Buzzz.

all the dyed discraft discs that i have thrown have been more stable then the regular runs. Now i haven't thrown many because i think dyed discs are hard to find so i don't buy them.
