Default How bad is my form?

Hi recently i have been working on driving backhand as i have been a primarily sidearm driver and now have experienced side pain for first time. I aced a 200ft sea level about a week ago wondering if i have been muscling my throws and overworked myself or very bad form. i have just started trying to incorporate the heel spin seems i need alot of work on accuracy with it. i also throw max weight dont know if thats a factor on stress. Any input appreciated thanks.

Not sure where your "side pain" is? I'd say your form is typical of a beginner/all arm, most of us started where you are including myself. You need to turn your whole body/head much further back, look away from target when you plant the right foot. I'd scrap the x-step and learn from "standstill" or one leg drill to work on the fundamentals of the swing before adding steps and more moving parts to it.

I'd recommend basically start going down the list.

This is a key concept for you to shift "from behind", instead of "from in front".

Right side? Definitely take time to heal up.

Pivoting on the front foot is not something that can be forced - that is a spin out. The pivot happens when you are balanced on the front leg and swinging across the foot will pull your foot into pivot. You should be able to do this standing without a disc, balance on foot with near straight leg and lift toes slightly inside shoe and hang your shoulder/arm with gravity like a heavy wet towel and swing your shoulder/arm across the foot and momentum should pivot you centered on heel/ankle.

Nope, something funky in your grip pressure/disc orientation in your hand.
