Oh well, I don't live in NC(Yet...) so I don't care that much, just sayin'.
actually it was in the myths about dg thread...all I said was that "a great myth is only nc has great tightly wooded fairways or something about only nc players understanding disc golf" I cant remember exactly...but thats where all the ridiculousness came from...the reaction was absolutely comical...so yeah I had no choice but to ruffle feathers...for the record I liked charlotte but there is just as good disc golf courses in other places....I'm sorry to confront your paradigm

lol, I don't think anyone has a problem accepting that there are other great courses out there in other places, I just think what makes Charlotte unique is the sheer quantity of good to great disc golf, not a lot of other places can claim so many courses that are actually worth playing and challenging.

FWIW my favorite course is in Georgia. It's called Flyboy ...

OK for the sake of argument I found what started all my haters

http://www.dgcoursereview.com/forums...t=myths&page=2

I really enjoyed NC I wasnt blown away but it had a bunch of solid to great courses....to be honest I hear so much about NC I was expecting perhaps too much and was mildly disappointed....I might be guilty of placing NY WV and NE a notch higher because I was pleasantly surprised

I did rate the courses very well btw...but I guess I didnt bow down at the altar of STan McDaniel and MJ and this is what bothers everyone...at least online here...btw the guys I met from NC were really cool. I freely admit I am a very avg player but I have played some great courses in other places (GOLD level courses)

In that exact thread I said I had played wooded courses that rival NC too, we got them in Georgia.. I understand where you're coming from though, you're going to be prideful about your local courses just like they are. I haven't made it up that way yet so I can only have an opinion for NC.

Oh well, that's disc golf.

again I agree with opti. In that quote there are plenty of caveats and it's all fairly vague and even deferential as a good non comprehensive comparison of areas should be. It's a broad opinion. Not a proclamation

Make an out-of-bounds that is clearly marked on the sign and terrain. Make sure they know they are cheaters if they "don't play out-of bounds". Put "NO FLICKING" on the sign too for good measure.

I really don't know what to tell you.

I'm really careful about where I throw my FH. There are a few holes at the local course that I don't use a FH at all, because a bad shot will go very bad. There are a couple of big wide opens holes that I use it on, and one I always throw it on to avoid a fence.
