I believe the point is to protect the investment made by the TD. If you scrape together sponsors for the requisite added cash and then someone else throws an A tier down the street you would be splitting the player base and your efforts would be wasted.

I am not advocating for a free for all. Distance requirements between events would still apply as would the need for approval on the schedule.

Thank you, I didn’t see that nuance. Yes as long as the time and distance reqs are met it seems wholly unnecessary to have a strict numerical limit.
