Unlike peanut butter and chocolate, those two don't go great together. Yikes!

The glory holes thing is great.

Covid awareness/seriousness jumped up in my family, as my father was hospitalized for it, and I thought I had it (turned out to be a blood pressure emergency), and with his complications like stroke and a-fib, became a serious fight for his life, which thankfully he won.

I guess my comment on that as it relates to whether we're taking it seriously enough, is that now my prior strong feelings are accentuated by a black-hearted disdain for the people being cavalier about it. And it's getting harder to feel empathy for these damned fools. I'm trying, Ringo, I'm trying real hard to be the shepherd.

It will be hard to take this seriously, but haha they suggested it! and good morning!

The recommendation is just a tip and not a firm rule, according to the website.

I can’t trust my fellow citizens to wear a damn mask during a pandemic, there’s no way in hell I’m putting my schvantz through a hole in a wall and trust I’m getting it back.

In Canada it makes sense though. If I were Canadian I’d be into it.

Yeah, I figure that as soon as it hits somebody close to me really hard, I'm going ballistic on a bunch of my covidiot family and friends.

Happy to hear your dad made it through.

Yes, it was politically inconvenient so the CDC was bypassed.

Here's some more info

Importantly, on May 17 in Israel it appeared the virus not only was under control, but defeated. Israel reported only 10 new cases of COVID-19 in the entire country that day. In the U.S., the debate often is about reopening schools where the disease is not only not in decline, but surging.

Then, Levine says, “contrary to our advice, the government decided to open the entire system all at once on May 17. What happened next was entirely predictable.”

On June 3, two weeks after schools opened, more than 244 students and staff were found to test positive for COVID-19.

According to the education ministry, 2,026 students, teachers, and staff have contracted COVID-19, and 28,147 are in quarantine due to possible contagion.
Quote:
On Tuesday, Israel reported 1,681 new cases of COVID-19 infection, its worst result since the outbreak began.

The source of the infection explosion can be seen clearly in the numbers from June. As Kliner told the Knesset, 1,400 Israelis were diagnosed with the disease last month. Of those, 185 caught it at events such as weddings, 128 in hospitals, 113 in workplaces, 108 in restaurants, bars, or nightclubs, and 116 in synagogues, according to Kliner, while 657—which is to say 47 percent of the total—were infected by the coronavirus in schools.
