Ok at this point you have to be trolling because I don't understand how you can have so much incorrect information in your brain.

Then the other Carrie Berloger, she played in open for years yet never won the Open Worlds women title but has 2 Masters 40+ titles in 2011 and 2014.
Just stop

David Greenwell and Nikko won player of the year 3 times, and Steve Valencia won it twice. And perhaps a technicality, because Worlds did not exist then, but I wonder how many years Steady Ed was the best 'frisbee' golfer around?

Steady Ed was already 45 by 1973 when disc golf was emerging. However, he was a big proponent of multiple tees with five per hole on his Highland Springs, Lakeport course. He claimed he could hang with the best youngsters if he could play from his short tees against their long tees.

Greenwell had every shot there is and executed them all as if they were the only shots he practiced.
He also recorded an ace throwing his second shot off the tee in a PDGA tournaent.

Steve Rico is a good choice, He should have won but there was always ones like Ken Climo and Nate Doss in that time as well as Berry Shultz 2 times.

The Biggest Upset to win was Greg Barsby, he won with less forehand then any player since Ken Climo who did not have that much forehand until the early 2000's as majority did not have forehand either. Now Greg Barsby has a good-decent forehand compared to the other top pro players.

So he was the progenitor of the Cubby ace?

I think Cubby would be that person. lol
Greenwell's ace had a lot to do with the rule changing about foot faults on the teepad from giving a warning/rethrow to adding a stroke.
