Default Colonial Acres CC - Glenmont NY

A small ball golf course has purchased 9 baskets to integrate into the existing course. If it improves revenue for the course they're planning to add nine more around the adjoining property.

Installation starts tomorrow

9 baskets installed.
Some limited play to see if the layout works WITH ball golfers on the course.

Good work getting another course in Cap! Looks like a great roller course!

Always a catch 22 tho when a course wants to see revenue from 9 holes before adding 9 more, as DG'ers generally don't like paying for 9 holes. I tried for 3 years to get Whiteface to add a back 9 but they wanted to see revenue from front 9 first. Neither happened...

Best of luck to this ball/disc combo course! Perhaps a good portion of their business may be golfers trading in clubs for discs.

Ball golf course closes and becomes a park.
Disc golf course to remain.

"Colonial Acres Park will no longer operate as a golf course. After many years of declining rounds played, and various attempts of operation methods, it became clear a new approach was needed. It will remain a Park and be maintained as open space. Any
future amenities will carefully be considered with respect to the size and location of the Park. We are very excited about this
opportunity and will involve the public as we design the Park’s future. Friends of Bethlehem Parks and Recreation will host their annual I Love My Park Day at Colonial Acres Park on Saturday, May 4, detailed information can be found on page 13. During the interim, please enjoy the park for its wonderful natural habitats, disc golf and open space. "
