I agree. I've thrown some absolutely RIDICULOUS Nukes. And these weren't Nuke OS's either.

Ti or FLX Z Nukes aren't even really throwable for distance.

Any wide rimmed driver is going to run the whole gamut from understable to overstable. Even if you stay within the same plastic. I've even seen star Vulcans that were really flat, glideless, and overstable. Same with Katanas.

I always wait for the eagle to come up in these conversations as if the EX and EL are not completely different molds. May as well list every disc mania disc with the Eagle top as well with them... or however many discs manufactured by innova with an L bottom.

From OS to US? Any OS mold in Champ/Z like plastic then just get lighter and cheaper plastic. 150 g DX any driver can be found to be fliptastic and barely throwable US no matter how OS the mold is supposed to be.

The Nuke, D3, Destroyer, and Giant all have some massive variance. They are all very fast drivers with somewhat pointed rims.

It seems to me the blunter the rim is the more predictable the flight will be, but that’s only one of many factors.

My bag would likely be (OS to US):

Driver - Katana (Star, DX)

Control Driver - Thunderbird (first run Star, DX or later-run Champ)

Fairway Driver - Teebird (Champion, DX)

Mid - high PLH Panther, low PLH Panther (straight-to-OS, straight-to-US)

Putter - Marshal (Lucid, Classic)
