Might need to change the name of this thread soon... I’ve heard rumors the name Kong may be changed due to a certain dog toy company

Well the 'proto' run has never had the disc name on the stamp. I don't have one on me right now to check, but is it embossed on the rim? If not, then I don't see how the value could change. Well that and the fact that they have made a bajillion of them.

Paul said on "Johnny Discgolf" that the KONG was still in the prototype state and that they put out different flat to domy ones to see what people would like.
Paul said that they leans towards the flat ones and a new proto will be out in a few weeks

All I know is if my proto Kong was an Innova disc I'd say it was an XCaliber.

You really gotta try a flat one, man. Any of your friends or club members have a flat one you can toss?

I just tried my flat one for the first time yesterday, and it was relatively straight. My Barsby Scorpius was beefier, and it has some wear on it. That said, I really liked the flat Kong, it was pretty workable for a new distance driver.
