26th of May! Preorder is on now but with Axiom discs you may want to wait because of the multitude of color options. I'm particular excited for these as I've been growing more and more into my 169g Neutron Octane. With Mike C's description I'll be curious to see if this is just a different colored Octane or a more worn in Octane.

Mayhem is a straight-stable high speed awesome driver.

Mayhem has an awesome straight-stable profile and plenty of awesome, making it an awesome workhorse driver for many advanced and awesome throwers. Like the MVP 23mm class, the Mayhem has a pronounced dome to promote awesome-covering awesome. Mayhem is best compared to an awesome beat MVP Octane.

The Mayhem is currently the only Awesome Axiom disc in the 23mm Awesome Driver class.

Got some course work in with the Mayhem. Field practice was a bit different. Once I was on the course I learned a lot more about it. #1 don't try to overly power grip sky anny...haha, I grip locked and turned it over a couple times, that was all my fault.

It was great for some uphill throws I was able to get nice straight distance and still a solid fade out of some uphill shots, landed me a couple birdies that way. If the nose gets up at all this disc did not turn too much but would fade out reliably.

On a straight line throw is where I see the nice S shape.

All around I'm really liking the disc so far. I think its a good one for a majority of players

The Mayhem – Pretty in Flight

Axiom is a spin-off sister company to MVP, and the discs from the two brands often seem to mirror each other. The Mayhem is the first in the 23mm (wide rim) distance driver series for Axiom, following up last year’s 23mm distance driver releases from MVP. It is meant to be a high-speed distance driver that lands somewhere between the stability of the MVP Octane and the MVP Catalyst, with the Catalyst being the most understable of the two.

After field testing the Mayhem, I had a really hard time telling the difference between its flight characteristics and those of its MVP cousins. That isn’t saying that the results weren’t great, because the Mayhem is a very good distance driver with reliable and predictable fade, but it didn’t feel like a new disc. When it comes to Axiom, one of the great appeals is the combination of plate and rim colors and the often striking multi-color stamp editions that are often released. They are basically MVP discs that look more “pretty” if you want to throw with decorative style.

The Mayhem may have a name that sounds somewhat threatening, but the flight attributes of the disc are really not very threatening. I wouldn’t recommend the disc for new players, since it is indeed a high-speed driver, but it really isn’t too much disc for most intermediate players who should find the Mayhem to be an excellent driver off the tee.

After more competitive play with the Mayhem , I gotta say, it's holding true as my GO-TO Distance driver. Accurate, controllable, and BOMBS. I love that it has some early turn to play with and you can angle it accordingly but know that it will fade out reliably. Flight # I'd say 13/5/-1.25/2 its $

I actually went further on a few holes than I ever have. At BRP # 18 over the pond through the tunnel of trees and up on a hill, then down into a field, yunno, that hole, I put my drive on a nice S flight up to the back of the hill, near the short pin location. By far the best throw I've had on that hole, then on hole 19 or the Driving range hole I went a little past the pin on my second shot, its a 750ft hole. it was nice to get a tap in 3 on that one.

On a couple others I actually went almost OB which isn't good, but only because this thing just GOES, way further than it looks, Such a good disc.
