Well thanks you jerks. I hadn't bought any discs for months at least. Maybe a year. Got 2 Craves coming now. My beat glow Teebirds were doing well, but I had a bad tree hit and one warped so I just happened to be looking for a premium plastic disc that might be workable out of the box to try while I still have the other.

So now that they have been out for a bit, is anyone noticing an difference from neutron to production run proton (non watermelon)? Is it just aesthetics? Grip? Flight? What are you guys seeing?

It's so much like my old QJs I used to throw, just a tad faster and maybe a hint more stability. Every new fairway is a "longer Teebird" but the Crave is very Buzzz-esque Sorry Rocwhores! (max weight for those curious)
crave is getting mad love for me. the volt is feeling left out at times now'

yeah under 325' the volt isn't seeing a ton of action anymore but no way I can drop it. Perfect disc for me between the crave and tesla.

I picked up a PD at collegiate nationals because my volt was flipping in the crazy winds and I sadly wont be picking up a tesla because of the PD.

My experience with this mold has been that it's just a preference thing mostly. The Proton and Neutron plastics to have slightly different grip characteristics, but I personally don't feel like one is better than the other on this mold. The N is a little softer whereas the P is a little more rigid.

I specifically threw a P and N side by side both in the mid 160's and mid 170's to compare, and the only noticeable difference I detected was just from some wear since two of them had been bagged for nearly a month (the mid 160's N and Mid 170's P, specifically). The newer ones were a little more stable compared to their similar weighted counterparts.

All in all, very consistent from disc to disc across plastics. FWIW, I was throwing them in the 290 - 320' range if it helps.

I have $15 in Paypal locked and loaded for a crave. My current fairway set up is as follows:
-175g champ teebird: straight with fade. Big forever turn overs. Mild to medium hyzers
-175g champ FB: firebird shots
-175g Evoltuion Apache: flex shots, slight turns, forced annys, etc.

My question is: will the crave slot nicely in this set up as a slower than my apache. Straight flyer?
Will it provide my with a more versatile fairway to pair with the Teeb? Convince me!

Yeah. Collegiate nats weren't friendly toward volts. I saw people throwing them and them getting jostled around. However, their throws weren't really taking the wind affecting the flight. I dropped my volts for PDs. Granted I threw them less than 20 times as the courses weren't exactly long.

When I did use the crave it did fly nicely on the lines it was put on.

Default Ouch!

First set of warm-up throws on a well maintained soccer field before playing a round this afternoon, and this happened!

I have only thrown this disc a handful of times on the course, so not sure if the flight is effected in any way. Needless to say I didn't throw it today to prevent any further damage. It was a 9.5 out of 10
