All are very sad...not pretty...and pitch/putt... You would be better off going on a hike in the mountains with a frisbee.

Either way...those places will all be playable at 5am.... Good luck. Not trying to crap on Tucson dg but after 7yrs living there...i understand its shortcomings. Maybe they put in a better course in the last 2 years i dont know about?
There is a tourney at a bolf course while I’m there. I won’t have time to play the tourney but I wonder if it will be up long enough to grab a round at some point.

If its that tourney at Arizona National then that would be an amazing disc golf experience. I have Bolfed many times on that course and it is awesome. If they have a doubles you can get in on...i highly recommend.

If not, Rillito/Santa Cruz will probably be all you have. Rillito is the more "wild" of the 2 but may be harder to navigate and without amenities.

Where would I check if there are going to be opportunities to play the course outside of tourney hours?

Played all the local courses other than the one at DMAFB. Suffered in the heat. Dealt with post-monsoon-storm mud a couple times. I was pleasantly surprised by Rillito River park, yeah, it’s not a DGCR 4+ and if you’ve got the arm to throw a spike hyzer over all the mesquite/Palo verde trees it could be boring but my noodle arm had to be a lot more strategic with my lines. It was also surprisingly clean considering how much trash I saw everywhere in Tucson. Wouldn’t mind coming back in the winter.
