Default Discrafts answer to Thunderbird?

Forgive me if this topic has been brought up before, but, I looked through the Innova threads and the search option and don't see anything about it.

I was curious if Discraft makes a fairway driver with a similar pattern to the Thunderbird. I do carry a Thunderbird right now in Champ but I recently have been working on putting together an all Discraft bag. So, I have a gap there where I feel like a Thunderbird should go. My question is, has Discraft created a driver with little to no HST (-1%) and a similar LSF (38%) such as the Thunderbirds? If not, im curious if there is a Discraft mold and blend that beats in to a somewhat similar path. Thanks!

I think a Z Undertaker is as close as you'll get. I love Discraft but I also love choice. Why stick to one brand? Innova seems like they put out a crowd favorite with the Thunderbird. Check out Nikko Locastro's last 'In the bag'. Throw what works for you.

Is the Thunderbird a fairway driver? How disc golf has changed...

What they said. I really like a beat-up (like 5-10 years old) Z Predator for similar shots. But I'm with Solar Sailer. Discraft's awesome, but there's no problem throwing some Innova (or Gateway, or Trilogy, or Gyro, etc.) in your bag there's a spot you want filled. Plus, they'll be 8 million times easier to replace than my perfectly beat-in Z Pred.

Thunderbird is a control distance driver IMO.

Agreed, but the lines (between control/fairway and distance drivers) start getting fuzzy around that speed 9-10 range.

Anyhoo, looks like the OP is asking about a Discraft overstable disc with glide in that speed 9 range...

I would think you are looking for an ESP Avenger. It might be bit faster than a Thunderbird, but otherwise they will be pretty close.

Go the Team Prodigy route and put a Discraft stamp on a Thunderbird.
