Talking Hoping to get my "off season" fix

My name is Kevin, I'm from Kentucky. I'm not new to the sport, but the amount of excitement is new. I started playing after accidentally going into a disc shop in 03 or 04. I got three discs, threw a little, knew nothing about it and tried to get my kids into it. Two divorces later, I decided to try it out again and feel like I could play 24/7. I started again in July or August and now have 29 discs, an Innova Standard bag and have played in a C-tier tournament (badly). I travel a lot for work so I have actually played in six states now. I'm so "ate up" that I have a scoring app on my first ever smart phone.... It was the first one I added. I play Iroquois park on lunch every day the weather lets me and can't wait to try another tournament as soon as I can.

Hope to hear from lots of people and maybe play a few rounds sometime!

I know the feeling, brother. I'm new to the game too and can't get enough. Welcome aboard (back) and best of luck in your next tournament!

It's fun and affordable......rare combination. I have gone overboard ith my plastic habits, and it's still affordable. But now winter has set in in Colorado and the days are short. What do you do? Ug, I might have to start exercising or something.....

I played some courses around Denver when out there on business, I was amazed at how many there were! And how crowded. It is unusual for me to see more than one or two groups during lunch, and less than that in the evenings here.

As of now I am practicing putts on lunch in the warehouse at work, and sneaking in rounds when I can. But I am off to Wisconsin next week and don't figure I'll be able to play there! Dangit!

If it's too cold out, I just knock the dust off of the PS3 and play disc golf on the Move. It kind of gives me a slight fix.

What area in Wisco? Good courses abound, if you can handle a bit of cold weather...

Appleton as a matter of fact. I fly in Tuesday morning if everything goes right, and will be there till Friday. Will be bringing my discs as always.
