Don’t mind his disc selection at all, but how does he throw so far like that? His lower half is doing insane work because he isn’t reaching back hardly at all.

Makes me want to work on my hip rotation.

I find it a little strange how few molds he has, but I suppose if you have the arm speed and power to work with all the angle control, and it works for you....why not? Makes it that much easier to choose which disc you're throwing

Mold minimalism isnt that uncommon and to me makes the most sense

He has Swedish-American form. His backhand is what you get when you start Swedish and sneak in some elbow bend at the last second. Swedish is great for translating that subtle weight shift into a compact throw. Once you get that down you just add more elbow and/or reach back and then you're pretty much throwing like most of the elite bombers.

He's like a hybrid of Feldberg and Barry...but he looks like he's working twice as hard throwing the disc.

Yea, Id be a little cautious of what Danny puts out about anything trilogy related. To me he just pumps up the brand any way he can. If Erics form is really that good then I would expect him to be placing higher at tournaments but that is not the case. he still has skills but I wouldnt consider his form good.

He does pump up the brand, but he's employed by DD so why wouldn't he?

Form is not mutually exclusive to placing well in tournaments. If it were, you'd have every top-tier player throwing the exact same way. Eric's form, as well as all other top pros, checks every box on the short list to throwing the disc well, but everything else is subjective and unique for every player. Would you call Seppo's form "good"? Because, like Eric, it's very unique but still hits all those checkmarks.

From watching tourney coverage Eric's problem doesn't seem to be throwing...his putting isn't all that great.
