Played a tourney yesterday that was using the PDGA's live scoring. Something on the live scoring page doesn't play well with the Safari web browser on my iPhone 4, and it wouldn't load properly.
Bummer. ![]() Sponsored Links

And here I thought I was the last of the dinosaurs using the 4S.

Safari is a pretty poor browser to begin with. Apple also has a history of putting out updates to intentionally slow their devices down so people purchase new ones. It wouldn't surprise me if your device isn't even capable of updating to the newest version of Safari.
I believe Chrome and Firefox both update automatically. If you use one of those, you'll never have to worry about your browsers capability.

Cool, nice to see a 4 out surviving.
I’ve hit the point where it’s time to retire my trusty little SE to get more screen space for actual work stuff and could use a better camera. I’ve been supplementing with an iPad carried as needed. |

What's the term for something more trivial than 'first world problem'?

being present (instead of staring at a screen all the time), productivity (same reason), improved memory and sense of direction (especially from using maps and planning routes instead of using navigation), less social media time (now it's none, i left FB and never used any others), and most importantly the sense of well being i get from spending much less time in the digital world.
i'm not saying everyone with a smartphone is not paying attention to the world around them but i see a ton of people who are not. i already have a hard enough time ignoring screens when i'm at home so the last thing i need is one in my pocket. when i'm with people, i want them to know they have my attention. my friends and family make note of it and many have thanked me for it.
