I do that often, change my bag out. But I have never thrown or bought something because some pro was throwing it. Which I think was the point.

Casey 1988 I thought the XD + was made before 2011, I saw a guy in 2008 who switched to those after his 2 XD discs broke and he had to use the XD + but they still had a few of the XD mold to make those discs just way lower volume that was always sold out. This year when Innova found the Aero discs they had found some old XD but they sold out quick of the Innova Disc Golf Pro Shop almost right away.

dreadlock86 wow, that's nuts! was it uniquely colored or anything?
I bet that XD was in the Old DX that was like XT stiff but missing the wax that comes with new XD/XT.

I am always Tweaking my bag and the only disc I have ever bought due to a pro throwing it was the older JK signature Champion Valkyrie's in mid 2005. I was using the DX before and I figured if a top Pro can use such a US disc as their main driver and not overpower the disc then I am okay to keep using the mold as my main/longest driver at the time. Now I use the Champion Glow Valkyrie due to it feeling like the older non stiff champion from the mid 2000's.

On the XD mention - my first disc was an XD, still putt with one now. I have at least 30 of them from pre 1997 to the early 2000s in storage at my parents home. I, honestly, have held/thrown at least 10 variations of the same XD mold. Some were brick stiff others varying in stiffness to the point of being comparable to super-soft plastic by Millennium. Some flat and others with varying domes.

Other pre 1997 to early 2000s discs stored are almost all of Innova's and Discraft's lineups of those years. Going to get some advice on where to open my "Baggers Closet" store.

What was this thread about?

I'm one of those people. I don't see how your reply is responsive to what you posted.

You stated you don't see why people would change their bag based on what pros throw.

People change their bags for fun, why is that reason any different than your personal reasons for doing so?
