I have thrown four from this run and two from the "first proto" run. Yes, they are beautiful; however, they are not "Insanities."

The first proto run from last year (the NC tourney and logo stamps) were rollers for me. I am not particularly powerful (max is 400ft). I DO turn over Neutron and Proton Insanities. But, that's to be expected with a slightly-US control driver.

The two proto runs were simply TOO understable. They also had significant domes. To me, an Insanity is flat with a nice supple give to the plastic. The Prism protos are hard/firm with domes.

I sold mine (both proto runs) for these reasons. I still bag Neutron and Proton Insanities.

I hope this doesn't come across as anti-Insanity. The Prism is just not what I expected.

Bringing this thread back to see if someone knows more about the newer Plasma Insanities.
My local store only had two plasmas in stock, one was old stamp and one new stamp. The old stamp plasma had significant dome, but the new stamp plasma was very flat like the other plastics.

Are all the new stamp Plasma Insanities flat, or is there a lot of variance in the plasma dome?
If all the new plasmas are flat, I may have to pick up the domey old stamp plasma before it's gone, but I'm not super excited about bagging hard to replace discs..

I dunno how new is new, but I ordered a batch of Plasma Insanitys this spring and they all had some dome, similar to the previous ones I had from a few years ago.

In these pics the gold disc has the old plasma stamp, and the blue one has the new plasma stamp.

Elmex yeah I was wondering if the new stamp plasma is "new run" stuff and that's how they're all gonna be from now on: flat..

I LOVE my proton insanity, and I LOVE plasma plastic. Been wanting to get a plaz insanity for a while now. I think I'd dig the idea of a flat plasma one. Haven't found an excuse to pick one up yet though. Certainly would if my beloved proton would ever need replacing.

I think they are the older stamp but I'd have to check.
