By the way, played with a somewhat ubiquitous Am-1 player on the north side of Houston while on vacation a couple of days ago in a casual round. He could outdrive me by a good 50 feet or more, but I can putt and approach well and he didn't. We tied for the day. I only missed one in the circle all day. He missed lots of them. He talked about how he was putting for 3 on a 750' open hole with O.B. everywhere in a c-tier last week but 3-putted.

I'm sure thankful the baskets weren't OMD-approved so my certain skill could allow me to compete with him on that casual round. On baskets where PMB misses 1 in 3 from 25', the two of us would have missed probably all the circle's edge putts anyway and he would have been rewarded for his bad putting had we been actually competing. I made at least 2 big ones I can recall that likely wouldn't have holed out in an OMD basket.

Speculation at best, maybe this dude putts even worse and starts missing 8-10 footers. The difference wouldn't even be that big. About 3 shots a round for the pro player. So if your putting was pro caliber that day you would have shot about that worse hypothetically. Though if you were nutting everything you could have scored the same and he shot even worse. Hard to say.
