I am new to the bag tag scene and I am excited to find someone to play with but I have a question. Just in general, if I am challenged for my bag tag by a player who has a larger numbered tag then me, and I accept his challenge and win......and this happens time after time after time......is he required to do ANYTHING for me? I guess I am just thinking that even a great player can have an off day, and if the same kid keeps trying to win my tag and finally does on the 10th try.....does anyone see what I'm saying here?? Is there suppose to be even an under the table "bet" where if you challange someone and loose, then you owe them cash or plastic or something???

If he beats you on the 100th try then he is better than you and gets your tag.....sorry thats the way it goes

Don't get married to your tag.
This is why no one has respect for peeps who get the #1 tag, then disappear... |

Thanks, thats what I figured but needed confirmation.
One more question......What is the general rule on how long you have to wait (if at all) to re-challenge a person who just got your tag, to try and get it back? |

Nope you get nothing. When playing for tags in my area you are not allowed to say no (good reasons are ok) and you must play for the tag. I lost my #8 to another club member with #143 but that is what I get for playing while sick. The other player is not better than me but he that day and now he gets ot show off for it and when I came out and took #4 with the #143 I had I was the better palyer and I get to brag.
No matter how many times it takes the winner gets the low tag and the bragging rights. If your willing to step into the arena you had better be ready for how the game ends. It's called sportsmanship. You can always paly again right after but you can say no and wait for another day or just later. Last edited by BENFTS; 12-29-2011 at 10:52 PM. |

We have a by-rule in our bag tag group that says if someone with a tag 10 or more numbers higher than the one he is challenging for, loses the tag round, he pays that player 5 bucks. It is entirely up to the player with the lower # tag whether or not to play for the $5.
Also, 5 seconds was the correct answer when you can re-challenge for a lost tag. Two seconds to think about it and three seconds to spit out the words. |
