Default Flattened Payout Table?

Does anyone happen to have a (hopefully excel) document containing a more flattened payout table than the ones available in the PDGA TD Report file? For example I'd really like a table that is close to what Steve Dodge recommended in his 'growing the sport' article, but I can't find the actual table values used to calculate that example anywhere.

Anyone able to help?

I don't know that the example Steve provided in his article was based on any available table. It may have been something he created himself just for example's sake. I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to reverse engineer his example to get the percentages, but it would still only be useful if you were paying out 50 players as in the example.

I have a couple different charts I have put together that pay out 50% of the field with relatively flat scale (and straight line).

For example:
25 players
$125 purse ($5 each)
Payout to 12 places
$16 $15 $14 $13 $11 $11 $10 $9 $8 $8 $6 $5

I'll email it to you.

I'll put it up on a shared site such as Google Docs and link it here.

Thanks Dave242! The table looks like it may be useful.. I'm thinking they're going to want to pay 45% of the field, though, with maybe as many as 50 spots in a division. I'll see if I can modify it. :P

Awesome! That's *exactly* what I'm looking for! Thanks! Hmm.. think it's possible to tweak it so it can do maybe something like 'Flat + 10'? Even at Flat + 7 it's maybe a touch flatter than I was thinking of. I'll play with the 'lower finishers' settings and see if I can get something that looks better.

What ratio are you trying to achieve between 1st and 2nd place? "normal' results in a ratio of when 1st place makes twice what second does ( [1st]=2*[2nd]). Flat +7 results in a ratio of 1st place making 150% of second ([1st]=1.5*[2nd]).
