Probably not well, but I would guess that it will still work. They just won't be as deep black as a champ/star type disc, and will fade much more quickly.

I just dyed a Millennium standard plastic disc completely pink and it took surprisingly well, but I expect it to fade rather quickly.

Here is an updated list of plastics. I don't think that soft Gateways will work, tylerc.

SpencerStubblefield, I think Millenium's Sirius and Quantum plastics would work but I can't say for sure. Anybody ever tried those? (I doubt the Millenium plastic would take a dye, for what it is worth.)

LIST OF MANUFACTURER'S AND THE PLASTICS THEY MAKE THAT TAKE A DYE.

Innova: GStar, Star, Champ, CFR Glo Champ, EchoStar, blizzard
Latitude 64: Opto, Recycled Gold Line, Gold Line
Disccraft: ESP, Crystal, Z, Photon UV
MVP: Neutron and Proton
Gateway: Evo and HPP
Discmania: P,C, and S
DGA: Proline
Vibram: Medium
Legacy: Icon and Pinnacle
Dynamic Discs: Biofuzion, Lucid, Fuzion

I dyed a Kastaplast Kaxe Z this weekend and the color came out great. It's similar to opaque Opto plastic, if anyone is interested.

You are correct, Gateway SSS does not take dye hardly at all. It looks like a light stain.

I've got a fission volt. i cant find any fissions that have been dyed (doesnt mean they cant be), but I'll give it a shot this week. I have some other discs I'll be doing work on anyway.
