I have a three year old I can play catch with pretty well, using a Hero Disc, Atom185 Tailgater. 40 ft or so apart. https://www.herodiscusa.com/tailgate...o-plastic.html

When he's older I'm going to switch catch to the Xtra 235, which he putts with pretty well.

I'm eyeballing a 124 gram range birdie from disc golf center for my 4 year old. I'm following this thread with great interest!

My Brother had great success with a Gator for putter at age 10 as it was lower profile and he could basically standstill fairway drive/midrange throw with the disc into the basket. A disc like that is great for putting if your kid refuses to learn how to putt early on and wants to mash the disc all the time as it can handle the power without turning and burning the way an Aviar would when doing a whip snap driving type putt. That Flat top DX Gator was his putter until 2017 when I got him a Putter as close to a DX Gator as Innova makes, the DX Stud.

Not sure if I mentioned this yet, some kids just want to go full bore in sports even sports like this not able to do finesse as they are kids and have yet to calm down. My brother did figure out how to slow down after his second year playing, still putting hard but not mega hard like before but rather a more regular putt with power on the putt, still able to to the whip snap standstill driving type putt when wind over speeds around 25 mph was the was the issue.

To my surprise a 115g skeeter found at PIAS is the winner. Throws great for her. Feels like hot garbage to me.

I though a 145g stingray would be the winner but the heavier weight and larger diameter made it significantly worse than the skeeter.

My 3-year-old's favorite disc to throw is a Gateway doggy style lid with a fake midnight flyer stamp on it, he loves it mainly because it says "3" on it, haha!

I am gonna pick up one of the Lil' Wizards and Mini Buzzzes for sure.

My dad had a complete Midnight Flyer set and I took it out for a round once. Even used the 70's style backpack my dad used.

The novelty of throwing those was... fleeting.
