Has anyone thrown the new Lucid-X Chameleon Judges? Do they mold up with extra stability like most other Lucid-X discs?

Felt one up just because, man was it stiff. The little logos etched into the top were a tad strange also

Same high shoulder on them? Or did they come out flatter (like other LX molds)?

I’ve started testing Classic Blend and Prime Judges to see if they can be a workhorse putter mold for me. And by “workhorse”, I mean a mold that I can putt (C1 and C2), approach, and drive with…basically do everything other than overstable (Zone) duties. Last winter I did the same test with Envies, but it didn’t work out.
Here’s my initial analysis. For reference, I typically putt with Crowns and drive/approach with an Envy & Proxy combo; as previously stated I use Zones for Zone things.

Putting—I miss high and/or right with Judges a lot, especially in that critical range of 18’-35’. I’m starting to think my putting form has gotten messed up from relying on Crowns, which are relatively overstable for a traditional putter mold. I do seem to catch metal a lot from 50’+ with Judges, so there’s some promise that it can help me improve on longer putts. Hand feel is great too. Conclusion: shows potential, but initial results are negative.

Approach—Perfect approach disc flight path…straight with just a touch of late fade. I also seem to be able to control distance with them much better than with a Proxy or Envy (probably due to the slower speed of the Judge). At least for me, this is where the Judge performs the best. Very nice!

Driving – It’s not an Envy, that’s for sure. And by that, I mean you can’t just rip on it hard on a low line and trust it to give you a Baby Teebird flight. Judges seem to drive best as a hyzerflip-to-flat disc when given lots of air. The hole it has performed best for me is a 275’ downhill tunnel shot, where ceiling is no issue. I’m going to keep working with the Judge and see if I can live without filling the “Envy slot” in my bag. If not, then I may try out a Lucid or Lucid-X Judge to see if that gets me closer to that truly stable putter flight. It’s also possible that I keep Envies as situational discs that only go in my bag on short courses that demand that specific shot.

Oh, and addendum to post above: I haven't noticed a difference in stability between the Classic Blend and Prime plastics. Maybe the Primes just beat in faster?
