Default A part of Muscle Shoals history

I'm still riding a high at work after my doubles partner, Joey Wear, and I shot a 13 under par during a random draw glow round Friday night at Gattman Park in Muscle Shoals, AL. We believe this to be the official course record since the only other league/tourney round for the grand opening produced a -11 (?).

The Swampers
Aretha Franklin
The Rolling Stones
Lynyrd Skynard
and now............

Greg McAtee and Joey Wear.
Making sweet music with the chains.

Congratulations, Greg!

...and I highly recommend this documentary if you don't already know, but want to be amazed by the music scene that came out of there.

Watched it this weekend actually. A local shop on the square was selling it.

Congratulations but how could you not mention Duane Allman, Donna Jean (waiting on the haters), Wilson Pickett, Percy Sledge, Steve Winwood...

Before I watched it, one of the locals warned me it Bono's statements were a little cheesy. "There's just something in the mud down there." At McFarland Park, there's a ton of discs in that mud!
