I could see them both accepting too.

Seems like a really fun dude who is a blast to play a casual round with. He always put so much pressure on himself in competition mode. It will be interesting to see if this side of rick makes more of an appearance on tour in 2021.

The battles between him and McBeth from 2013 to 2017 were so fun to watch. I don’t know who is the next Rick but I hope we get one more close one like 2014 worlds between these 2.
Watch the 2019 Nantucket tourney on the Disc Golf Guys youtube channel. It's exactly what you're looking for.

"My Lyme Story"

Turn the audio up, it's a little low.

There's been a lot of misinformation out there. So here's some more!

MY OPINION

I did skip through the video a bit, I am not interested in yet another nutritionist selling me his version to solve "insert malady here".

It sounds like RW thought he had treated the tick bite, medically. Why not go see a doctor? That is just stupid.

He involved a nutritionist, seemingly to help with the treatment and maintenance of Lyme. At that point, Doxy was not going to eliminate the disease, he has it and could continue to struggle with exacerbation episodes for the rest of his life. Disease like Lyme are difficult and complicated to manage. They manifest themselves in unpredictable and various ways. Diet and lifestyle changes are a VERY good way to manage the problems. To that extend, I have little issue with Ricky's choice. I would be more comfortable with him using a team of specialists, including a doctor.

I do take umbrage with the nutritionist here. He is using Ricky as a vehicle of promotion, which is fine, but I think that comes with some professional responsibility. He should be encouraging viewers to make use of medical professionals very early and should start the discussion with prevention information. To skip this part of the narrative is simply irresponsible. The best treatment for Lyme, is to avoid tick bites.

I can't say one way or the other on his treatments, etc., but what I can say is that Ricky looks a thousand times healthier than he did a year ago. Look at him now and compare it to his interviews with Johnny Disc Golf at this time last year. Not even close.

I hope he's doing well.
