I liked the Matrix when it was fresh. It went from overstable to stable in about 2 weeks. Junk Plastic. It was way too soft. Cut super easy. If made in a quality plastic it would be good...heck even Electron would have been an upgrade.

Maybe I have a bad disc, it is one of the Circuit event overstocks that infinite discs had.

I'm not sure whats to like about the Axis. aside from Monocacy's comment about weights.
Because basically no one uses 4/5 speed discs for 400' shots, including you lol.

I do for downhill shots all the time but max at around 325-350 with a vector on flat ground. This hole for example isnt even that steep and i can mash my mids into the woods behind the hole well at 425+. They land so much softer vs drivers which need to be more spiked in. Hell i use my ions here and our drive the hole all the time.

And after playing with some dudes who can just crush a driver 600' they definitely hyzerflip mids in the woods etc at 400'. At that point distance doesnt really matter with XYZ speed class but rather thr line/landing. Look what Simon can do with a putter lol and he isnt the only disc golfer.

I could also bag a vector vs a wasp and I dont. Whats your point?

Wait what? I use my mids in the 350-400' range nearly every round.

Here's a 411' hole with my Vector in the latest video I uploaded

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBj1KCTzCPQ&t=3m01s

Here's the Vector on a 375' hole.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXNOThcXgIA&t=2m17s

365' hole with an Alias.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCQcHyCd9xg&t=7m25s

350' with a Vector

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4XoxM0hDNA&t=0m31s

Driving a 370' slightly uphill hole with an Axis (Came up a bit short though)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwJcSn5rnuc&t=5m16s

One of the reasons I like the Axis / Vector and Proxy / Envy is they remain controllable no matter how hard I throw them. I can power them up and know they won't flip, and since they're such slow discs they barely fade.

Here's a few examples of powering up the Proxy:

Proxy on 380' slight turnover: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PhmHSaPCTU&t=1m08s

Proxy ~420' hyzer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJ6UsY42pyY&t=5m29s

It all depends on the shot. Sometimes I need a big skip under a low ceiling on a 300' dogleg right hole which calls for a Nitro / Energy / Fireball....sometimes I need a dead straight 375' shot in a mild tailwind and I might use a Proxy or Axis.

Now, none of this is to say anyone should be throwing mids at this range...maybe I'd be better off throwing a Crave at 75% than a Vector at 90%.

I watch all your vids lol. Just because you have, doesn't mean you routinely do. That Crave gets a workout.
