Like JedV said, they are only a comet in name but not really in flight since they lack that sweet, sweet glide factor.

Also, might be to try and sell more MJ Comets this season. I wouldn't be mad if that was why.

Seems strange since they ran Ti comets for past ledgestone events, and MJ does a limited run of Ti comets aswell to support his touring. They usually sell quite well and are desirable. You might be right about trying to focus on the tour series discs though.

I was looking for a slightly overstable putt and approach disc that was a little more mellow than a zone, and picked up a x ringer gt last night before league...I'm surprised more people don't talk about this disc. I know MJ loves them to putt with but I'm talking about for throwing. Not a ton of glide, but less fade than a zone while still being high speed stable. Plus, the shallow rim makes forehand approaches very comfortable to me. Earned a slot in the bag pretty quickly.

I just picked this up from PIAS could, someone tell me if this a Ti or ESP or Big Z Comet. Its sorta soft feeling, and glideless. It flies very similar to my Z, but I'm not sure its a Big Z.

The stamp says 2010 so...I'm pretty sure Ti and Big Z weren't a thing and it doesn't look like ESP. More than likely it's older opaque Z plastic.

Does the Ringer GT have a bead, and if so does it feel close to the Rhyno? I'm looking for something to possibly replace, or supplant my Rhynos, as I can't quite gel with my GStar or R-Pro, as they are slightly too soft, while my Champs and Star are too premium feeling, and too OS for my taste. Would an X Ringer GT be like a DX Rhyno, but with a longer lifespan?

I'm pretty sure it says 2016, based on the font of the 4 and 5 as well as a quick PDGA search, which brought up 4 tourneys from 2014-2016.

Dang, didn't see that...I'm still going to lean towards opaque Z though

The Ringer GT is like a slightly shallower Rhyno. Unfortunately they don't make it in straight up X, only X-Soft. Jawbreaker probably isn't the durability you're looking for, but they have it in Z-FLX, which is stiffer than G-star. As far as being more OS, I'm not sure. (Challengers in Z-FLX are more understable than in other plastics, while a Z-FLX Zone is just as OS as any.)

The DGA Breaker (a normal Ringer mold) comes in Proline, which the newer stuff is on the soft side of ESP/Star. Flies more like HSS 0/LSS 2.5 to me. Great mold.
