Default Germany has over 100 courses!

Hi all,

I just spent some time updating the DGCR directory for Germany and I'm pleased to say it now has over 100 permanent/seasonal courses!

To my knowledge, only the US (6420), Finland (442), Canada (215), and Sweden (151) have eclipsed this milestone.

Exciting! To me, anyway...

Glad you got this one.

I found it on the Facebook page when I was in the area in October 2017, but my lack of German language skills and knowledge of the area meant I couldn't find it! Bummer.

You're quite the ambassador, sir. Well done! Sounds like we need a "Countries that have 100 or more courses" thread to match our bagging one!

Congrats!

Finland has at least 660 permanent courses already based on the.fi.

There should be around 200 permanent courses in Norway as well.

I remember when we (USA) got our 100th course. Glad to see more countries joining the club.

Might someone know if disc golfers overseas carry the same persona as we do here in the states?

You mean something between hippies and hipsters?

The only word between is hippopotamus FYI..

Hiphopopotamus is coincidentally on the other side of hippies.

In that list to my supries is one in South Dakota, at Omaha Park with baskets in 1980, year before they used 4 x 4 cedar posts with sticker type number addresses on them as the little sign showed. I was lucky enough to play the course with the orginal homemade baskets made of Rebar that the club would re-spray paint every few years back in 2004. Man were those creepy as well as the one unsettling tee pad that I bet is still way to close to the rail line. Now the 9 hole course has some of the old style Mach III baskets from Jackson Park and the course is finally finished being fixed as Jackson Park now has new Mach V. I have played Jackson one time back when they used original Chainstar baskets. Now the local club has those for temporary holes as well as some old Mach III baskets. I am sure Omaha Park is in the top 100 courses.
