back to the Harmony and Saleh comparison. I am 100 percent certain that if i played all 3 courses, i'd score then all into my top 10. Probably two of them into my top 5. However, if presented with opportunity to only play one of them in the next five years. I'm heading to Missouri.

My top 5 bucket list courses, in no order.
Hamonry Bends
Flip City
Maple Hill
Bucksnort
Idlewild

Either seem to be worth a road trip for a DGCR addict with a top 10 bucket list or something similar. There are some of us (Vkid) that have a bottom 10 bucket list. Badoomp tish
Sage advice.

I haven't even looked at pics of Harmony and I know I don't want to go there. Under water a lot of the time (according to accounts on dgcr), and arduous (according to accounts on dgcr). Not 2 things I'm looking for. Hahahaha. As Biscoe said, YMMV.

But even with that apparent bias, I can say with confidence that you should do Selah instead of Harmony. But that's just my opinion.

it'a poor uninformed opinion. Harmony is neither arduous nor under water "a lot of the time". it's also a better piece of land and a better design than any course in Texas by far; Houck's masterpiece.

i guess i'm glad i won't be waiting behind you on the tee box

1000x is a lot but i'd easily take the one course at HB over the 4 courses rated 4.3 - 4.86 at Selah/Trey Duece

Rating is so damn subjective. I played the Selah and Trey courses, and neither of the Selah courses were my favorite on the trip (Texas Twist, I love you so...). Haven't played Harmony yet, and would never comment on it until I did.

Also, Maple Hill is better than any of the Texas courses. IMO, of course. But it's better.

I've been to Selah twice, and I am dying to play Harmony. I was going to on my last trip but there happened to be a tourney there that day...

I was underwhelmed by my second visit to Selah, golf wise. They are great for the land they are on, but I found myself being like "meh" anytime there was no water in play. Most of the non-water holes are just kinda boring.

It was easier to see the second time without the awe of being there for the first time.

Just need to get to Harmony this year and I'll have knocked out all 5 of those.

My ranking of 4 out of those 5:

1. Maple Hill
2. Bucksnort
3. Flip City
4. Idlewild

i enjoy Texas and its courses but i need to give a jab whenever i get a chance cuz some of these native Texans are crazy. you can only have that kind of superiority complex if you've never been on a mountain or deep in a forest. some Texans need to get out of Texas, and ditto for CA.

Maple Hill and Bucksnort are on the short short list but so far for me:
Harmony
Rollin Ridge
Flip
Bailey
Idlewild
