Default Prodigy Basket

Does anyone have any info on an upcoming Prodigy basket?

I have it on good authority that one is coming out in about a month's time and it's supposed to be mind-blowing.

Does it catch as well upwind as it does downwind?

I kid, I kid. I have not heard anything about it but it does not surprise me that they are coming out with one. Interesting to see what would be "mind blowing" about it.

I can't imagine there's anything about a target that could be considered "mind-blowing" at this point. The biggest "innovation" in the last decade was the crossed chain thing in the Vortex and now the Mach X, but I'd hardly classify that as "mind-blowing".

Unless the target reaches out and catches off-line putts so you just can't miss, I'm not buying "mind-blowing" at all.

I agree. I can't think of anything too revolutionary that would classify any new baskets as "mind-blowing", but my source says that it is the best catching device in the history of the game. Whether there's some substance behind that claim, or purely marketing, we won't know until some plastic starts hitting the chains.

I also heard that they're going to be releasing images of the new basket by the end of the week. Turns out we won't have to wait too long to start forming opinions on it.

The chains will be a mushroom shape and made of a titanium rubber alloy for unmatched catching ability with a solar charged glowing main pole and seamless design which will not scuff up any putters

"Mushroom shape".

It sounds like Nikko had some input into the planning of the basket.

I don't need to wait until the end of the week to form an opinion.

I have an opinion already.
