Default Latitude 64 Knight Distance Driver

Looks like we got another 14 speed driver coming to town.

From the Latitude site:

Quote:
When speed is of the essence the Knight will ride with haste. This high speed driver features one of the widest rims yet on a golf disc. The Knight is extremely fast but also has great glide considering the wide rim, so this disc can ride out for long distances. For drives around 330 ft it will be slightly understable and compared to Ballista the Knight is just a bit more understable.
SPEED: 14 | GLIDE: 4 | TURN: -1 | FADE: 4

The Knight will be pre-released at The Amateur Championship at Bowling Green as a limited edition in Gold line.

Release date for retail purchase is set to be May 6th. I dont understand how they can say it will have a slightly UNDERstable flight at 330' with the numbers it has. I know trilogy discs are usually a bit less stable than advertised, but looking at this disc I would have expected it to be pretty beefy at 330'. I guess we'll see

Trilogy where the stability is made up and the numbers don't matter.

lol seriously. but this one seems to be the icing on the cake. Most of what I've thrown is at least close. maybe one rating off for turn or fade....or both. but a -1/4 flying understable at 330'? Those with the arms to make use of a 14 speed disc likely arent throwing this for 330' shots anyhow.

Hmmm sounds like a King... I like Kings not sure how they can be improved. Unless these keep the fade on any shot without losing the glide.

Would you say your King is understable? The Knight could be their answer to the King. Having never thrown a King I cant say what its like

It's not a flip monster, but I've had 4 and they are a big bomber that has some turn and a good fade.

If I overpower mine it will go about 400 on a line or a slight turn.

So if they are titling the disc to match pro level power yes, it could be that they would consider it to be US. I think this could be their version, yes.

Feldburg will often bag a King as have EMac and JohnE so this could be the attempt to make them throw closer to 100% lat64(and EMac is getting the Defender which seems to be their World).

I could see them gearing this toward a pro level player who can get this to turn. But they lost me when they said 330'. At that distance Id be shocked if these turned at all. Whats Ricky throwing now for drivers? Maybes got Lat tailoring a new mold for him.

If it's turning at that speed(even a King won't do that) it's a flip monster for Pros. Maybe Rickey wanted a turnover disc? But the numbers at bunk if that's what it does.
