They were talked about on DD’s podcast a bit with the owners of both companies as well as a few other molds panned for 2018. I am excited to try this though but it does make me feel like they weren’t happy with the river pro for this to be announced so soon after the river pro went into full production

Well, Compass and Explorer, same galaxy namewise. Both Ricky sig discs. Not particularly exciting names, but hey! if they fly well, power to 'em...

Thankfully, I am not a sponsored pro forced to throw one company's discs. So instead of buying every other company's 4th attempt to replicate a Teebird, I can just, you know, buy a Teebird...

Anyhoo, the one thing about this release that does sound interesting is this GL burst plastic with 20% basline blended with the GL. That alone might convince to try one out for funsies.

The thing I find funny about all this back and forth about "teebird clones" is... Which Tbird are they trying to clone?...

The only Tbird that I ever clicked with was a stock champ plus mold, which is probably the least favorite tbird, right? lol

I still haven't got to throw a River Pro to see if they are way more OS than they should have been, or just way more OS than people think a Teebird is usually.

They also have the Saint Pro still in this Teebird-ish area of the lineup, but they seem to be turnover fairways for the pro's.

Granted I've only tried a few...but they've all been really understable compared to its numbers. More understable than the Saint. Fun disc to throw though, but I wouldn't see any overlap between it and any Teebird I've thrown. Unless it was DX and thrown for a dog for a while.

Here's what those look like. They're expected to be released in February 2018.

Is every disc name hated by at least one poster here? I guess I just don't care what the companies name the discs.

Aside from being something embarrassing to tell people when they ask what you just threw, I am the same way. How does it fly, how does it feel? These are the things I care about.

What color(s) it is important, also. That pic above makes me wonder how many of these I will be looking for... Camo discs suck!...
