Hey, thanks for the thumbs up folks. I registered my course here on DGCR. Poured full concrete pads last fall. Total length is 5,764 feet. The name of it is Nubian Palace DGC here in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Not completely homebuilt, but a lot of blood sweat and tears went into bringing these back from the dead. Two friends and I revived 5 of these old guys from the dead and now 2 serve as putting baskets and the other 3 are at a guys house to make the start of his own personal course.

Before:

After:

The powdercoating is a bear to get off. Took a lot of sanding and grinding to remove the rust and coating from the band. Baskets weren't much better. Primed and spayed the basket/band with Rustoleum Outdoor enamel paint with enamel clearcoat. Friend who was in this process did the artwork on the band for me. Topped it all off with 2 coats of Enamel Clear.

The pole was torched off and a base was made from 2" steel tubing, with angle iron risers to attach the wheelsto.

Still need to fabricate and attach the 2nd set of interior chains. Shes a spitter as she sits.

^ Cool idea with the reconstructed, two wheeled portable base, somebody had their thinking cap on . Maybe they had a few liquid relaxers to get that thought process on!

-2 10" bolts
-8" diameter air vent metal tubing
-spray paint
All in all I only spend about $10.
Looks Like a portable Tone pole of the 1980's, the ones that are permanent except this is not.
