I've loved champion Bosses since the first one I threw (Merlot first run). They're consistent disc to disc and aren't super hard to throw despite the wide rim. Very, very good overall driver and can handle wind decent. I also like that they wear very slowly. I have a Boss that has been in the bag about 3 years and still looks and flies brand new. Dependable glide and fade. I can throw the Boss on a big, high anny line and it S curves slowly. It's definitely among the longest discs out there today. Practically interchangeable (at least for me) with the Z Nuke. Very similar discs right there.

I bag a pretty beat star Boss, a pretty fresh echostar, and a 158g blizzard somewhere in between the other two. I have a pro Boss that is hibernating for the season (it is white) but it might be my favorite one. seems glidier that the others, and even when fresh it already had a fair bit of turn on it. I also have an opto bolt that is in the bag half the time, which I feel has more distance potential.

That said, I don't quite have 450' of distance, but I can push the bolt and my blizz Boss out to 400'+ on most (non-wintery) days.

I throw 2 Bosses and 1 or 2 Terns for max d. The R-Pro Boss is my favorite and most used. It didn't take long to beat some turn in it. I don't know how much it will beat in, but I suspect it will eventually overlap with my Champ Tern. Great disc.

I found my boss today that I posted about in the lost discs forum! Well, a friend found it!

So excited. I love my boss. It's my heaviest disc and when I throw it right, it goes forever. Forever. Forever.

Destroyers are my go-to distance drivers, but I use the Boss for max distance. Nice stability but if you can get them to turn over they will turn forever, before flattening out.

My boss is great at her job and she's fairly attractive, but she's also married to a cop! I can't afford to fall in love with her.

Oh, wait...is this a thread about Springsteen?

Surprised that there is not more discussion about the Boss. I suppose everyone is just throwing Destros now.

Anyway, a friend of mine really loves his Bosses but we noticed that the new ones are not the same at all. He has a post Feldie Champion Boss that still has FN of 13/5/-1/3.

Today it seems that all new Champion Bosses are stamped with a turn 0. Was the mold tweaked or did they just mold up differently? When was this change done? Are the old Bosses still available somewhere?

I actually noticed that most of the DF Bosses are also 0 turn ones.

So are the -1 turn Bosses older than the DF ones or how do they fit on the timeline?

What happened with the Boss, Tern and other discs is that "after further review", Innova changed the FNs of those discs in Champion plastic, de facto acknowledging that Champion plastic is more overstable than Star and other plastics. AFAIK, the Champ Bosses with "0" turn fly the same way Champ Bosses with a "-1" turn.
