I live in Johnson County. Parker and Johnson counties have cumulative totals of 1940 and 2900. We're both lucky to not live in densely populated areas. I keep posting in all of the social groups to not get too relaxed with winter coming. Is Parker not following the mandate set by Tarrant county? That's crazy if they're not.

Isn’t the mask mandate state wide? The store employees wear masks. Signs are in the doors. Just many think it’s BS.

BBQ joint near my house has a sign on the front door:

"Masks not required but dancing on the tables still prohibited".

Funny thing about forums on the interwebs. Nobody has ever changed the opinions of those who disagree with them. But hey, if it makes you feel better, type away.

I think more people should stay at home and not risk exposure. Easier for me to social distance.

I only track tarrant, dallas, johnson. But I'm pretty sure each county can mandate their own policies. I think that's how state/local legislation works. lol..

Unless something has changed it was mandated for any county with more than 20 active cases. If a county had less than 20 active cases masks are still required unless the county judge files for an exemption.

I live in a county that has always had less than 20 active cases but neighbors a county that has had almost 3000 cases and currently has 433 active cases. Since a lot of people travel to work in the next county the judge did not apply for the exemption until a couple of weeks ago. When parents and concerned citizens had a meeting to discuss masks in schools. He says that the decision to request the exemption was all him but then put out a statement that the county Republican Party had threatened to censure him for not doing it. In the end the school put out a statement that they would continue to follow TEA guidelines and kids still had to wear masks.

I can tell you that my pain was often exacerbated by knowing that the generation, you advocate as expendable, was the very population that gave me so much. So much liberty, freedom....I know few 30 y/o's that contribute much to my society or quality of life.
It's something that happens every day, it's just more visible now. We expend 100,000 a year to air pollution so we can have a vibrant economy, 30,000 so we can drive around, 10-60,000 a year to the flu. Who knows how many to pointless wars and conflicts. Not to mention the unaccounted for costs to younger generations.

Pleased to report that masks are still in heavy usage at the grocery stores, liquor stores and gas stations that I occasionally visit. Went to Kohl's once and 100% masks there as well.
