I put eagles back in the bag as my workhorse stable driver. 1 dx, 1 star, and 1 11x champ eagle-L. I forgot how good the eagle is, was lacing it down fairways and working great lines with them. Fits my game and bag perfectly.

Did the Rival not work out for you or are you still working out your bag?

It would be sick if they made a Barsby tour series CG Champion Eagle.
We need a CG Chamoion Eagle-L

There are JL ELs out there, I’ve owned a couple. Color glow ELs would be awesome only if they’re flat.

If the wombat or foxbat or whichever one got the 3 treatment I have no idea why there hasn’t been an E3 or EL3 conversation. EL3 would be awesome especially in color glow.

It depends on your age if ``years ago'' is still ``fairly recent''. ;-)

Nope, didn't work out for me. It falls with the pd/thunderbird/teebird - I like it but it doesn't fit my game anymore. Also, there isn't much of a sweeter disc than a dx eagle, imo I've been trying to figure out the fairway/control slot since I dropped convicts earlier this year (Flight is great but I think the plastic is garbage, falls off the 'cliff' after so much wear and becomes squirrely flippy) and the eagle is the best fit by a long shot.

Yup, there are JL Eagle L's out there. I have one that's double-stamped with the old school circle stamp, which makes me think it was molded in the same timeframe when they made the CS JL Eagle X's that are absolute meathooks.

However, as others have said: that was still a few years back. AFAIK, no plans to bring the Eagle L back into production. Not even for a sweet limited run.

I know that Big Jerm likes the flat opaque champ ones; when he switched back to Innova he was reaching out for old runs that people might have laying around (11X and the like). So there's a small glimmer of hope that there could be a run of Big Jerm CG FT Eagle L's. Which would be awesome.

Unfortunately, I don't see that happening any time soon, because the Big Jerm Thunderbirds are so popular. Not much motivation to mess with that success.
